Why we built Regen

Look, we’re not here to tell you to stop betting. But what if there was a way to stack cash while you’re at it?
We met playing padel in Buenos Aires. Both of us living down there, both of us sports bettors. We’d finish a match, grab a beer, and trade stories about wins, bad beats, and longshot parlays.
Betting was already part of our lives. But somewhere in those conversations, we started circling something bigger.
The Gap Nobody’s Filling
Sports betting is everywhere now. Over $150 billion legally wagered last year. More than 60 million Americans placing bets. It’s mainstream. It’s part of the culture.
But nobody’s building for the middle.
There are apps for tracking picks. There are tools for chasing edges. And there are hotlines for when it all goes sideways.
What about everyone else? The person throwing a few bets on NFL Sunday with their friends. The fantasy league that added some skin to make it interesting. People who genuinely enjoy betting and aren’t looking to quit. They just want to be a bit smarter about it.
That’s us. That’s most of our friends.
The Idea
What if every bet you placed quietly invested winnings in the background?
No spreadsheet. No guilt trip. Just set your preferences once (say, save 10% of every bet you place, 20% of your wins, 5% of your losses) and let it run.
Regen tracks your actual betting activity across your sportsbooks. It calculates your real bets, wins, and losses, then moves money to your FDIC-insured wallet (and soon investment accounts) based on the rules you set. It’s not moving money on a schedule. It’s responding to how you actually bet.
The best part? That money isn’t just sitting there. It’s growing. One day you check your Regen balance and realize you’ve actually built a stack. From doing exactly what you were already doing.
Where the Name Came From
If you’ve bet long enough, you’ve heard the word degen. Short for degenerate. Usually said with a laugh after a 2 AM tennis bet or a Tuesday night MACtion teaser.
Regen came from flipping that on its head. Same culture. Same people. Same love for the action. But now you’re building something while you’re at it.
